Neuropathic pain model

Product Details

  • Neuropathic pain is pain that is a direct result of damage or disease to the somatosensory system. It can be triggered by trauma and/or disease resulting in damage to peripheral nerves, posterior spinal roots, the spinal cord, and certain parts of the central nerves above it. Age, gender, intensity of pain, and emotional and cognitive abilities suggest that chronic pain develops as a result of a multifactorial combination of factors and is not due to nerve damage alone. We have developed a stable neuropathic pain model that is suitable for preclinical neuropathic pain drug research and new drug evaluation.
