Chronic Pancreatitis (CP), the incidence of which is increasing year by year, is a chronic inflammatory disease with irreversible changes in pancreatic tissue and function caused by various etiologic factors. The basic pathological features include chronic inflammatory damage to the pancreatic parenchyma and interstitial fibrosis, calcification of the pancreatic parenchyma, dilatation of the pancreatic ducts, and pancreatic ductal calculi. The main clinical manifestations are recurrent episodes of epigastric pain and pancreatic endocrine and exocrine insufficiency. We have established a stable model of rainfroggin-induced chronic pancreatitis, which is suitable for the study of drugs for preclinical chronic pancreatitis and the evaluation of new drugs.
