Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common rapid cardiac arrhythmia that occurs in 1% of people over the age of 60, with the incidence increasing exponentially with age. The occurrence of AF is related to age and type of underlying disease, with hypertension being the cardiovascular disease most likely to complicate AF. Patients with concomitant atrial fibrillation have a significantly increased risk of embolic complications. We have established a stable model of atrial fibrillation caused by different triggers, which is suitable for the study of drugs for preclinical atrial fibrillation and the evaluation of new drugs.
