Acute pancreatitis is an auto-digestive disease of the pancreatic tissue caused by abnormal activation of pancreatic enzymes and may lead to other organ dysfunction. The main symptom of acute pancreatitis is a sudden onset of persistent epigastric pain, which may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, and fever. Severe patients may develop hypotension or shock and have a combination of multiple organ dysfunction, resulting in a high mortality rate. We have established a stable model of acute pancreatitis induced by rain frogin and a model of acute pancreatitis induced by sodium oxybate, which are suitable for the study of drugs for preclinical acute pancreatitis and the evaluation of new drugs.
