Acute/Chronic cystitis

Product Details

  • Cystitis is an inflammation that occurs in the bladder and is mainly caused by specific and non-specific bacterial infections, as well as other specific types of cystitis. Its clinical manifestations are acute and chronic. In the former, the onset is sudden, with a burning sensation during urination and pain in the urethral area. Sometimes there is urinary urgency and severe urinary frequency. It is common in females. Terminal hematuria is common, and in severe cases, there is naked eye hematuria and blood clots discharged. The symptoms of chronic cystitis are similar to those of acute cystitis, but without high fever, and the symptoms may last for several weeks or come on intermittently, leaving the patient weak, lethargic, and experiencing discomfort or vague pain in the lower back, abdomen, and perineal area of the bladder. We have established a stable cyclophosphamide-induced acute/chronic cystitis model and a canine prostatic hypertrophy model, which are suitable for the study of drugs for preclinical immune nephropathy and the evaluation of new drugs.
